Calgary Weekend & Corn Maze

This past weekend we loaded up our van and headed south to Calgary to visit family and celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving a week early.

These girls loved their yogurt snacks. I think Eylee had three.

We had TONS of fun! On Saturday we spent the afternoon and evening at the Corn Maze. It got a little crazy at times keeping up with all the kids but, over all, it was a blast.

On Sunday we got together for the traditional  Turkey feast. Which was uh-may-zing!

On the way to Ben's brother's house, we decided to stop by and look at the house we helped to build. (A 1.4 million dollar house to be exact.) Crazy right? Well, there is actually another house beside the one in the picture that we also invested money in to help build as well. Which is even crazier. two houses.

I made Ben hop out of the car and "pose." When it was my turn to take a pic with the house, the Realtor showed up and started talking to us. I felt like a complete goon for looking like some weird-o posing in front of a house that I don't live in.
Any who, Ben let the Realtor know we had invested money in building the property and since it was an open house, he let us go inside and have a look around.

Sounds like a great weekend right? Well, it wouldn't be an outing with my family if something ridicoulous didn't happen.

We were responsible for transporting the Cranberry Salad to the Thanksgiving feast. Well the cranberry salad flipped over in our newly purchased van. Spilling half  (about 1/2 a gallon) of the staining dark red contents all over the tan rugs. I spent 1 1/2 hours cleaning up the van when we got to the house for supper. So now its a very light pink color thanks to the handy dandy Bissell upholstery cleaner. If you have kids, buy it. You need it. Seriously though, that thing is the BEST! And a huuuuuuge thank you to my sis-in-law Megan for letting me use it. It saved the day. hands down.

And as always, a video.
