Smelly

Everything seems smelly these days. EVERY-THANG! Man, I never got sick with my first kid, but this one is really doing a number on me! Most food, even at the very thought of it, makes me wanna' gag. And I LOVE food. It's crazy. I feel like I've lost about 20 pounds from being sick and getting sick from the smell of cooking. (If only I wasn't so bloated so you could even see my figure.)

But it's hamburger. HAMBURGER. Which has become my evil enemy. When I say "enemy," I mean just that. Hamburger is my adversary looking for ways to cause harm to me. Usually this harm is through my sensitive pregnant stomach. I get queasy from the very smell and it was that cooked cow, that burger, that caused my food poisoning.

This seems to be the only defense I have against the evil burger meat smell.
But alas, hamburger, my evil foe, I will continue to buy, cook, and eat you almost daily because you are extremely cheap up here in the land of Alberta. But just so we're clear, I hate you always.

  1. I had the WORST meat aversions when I was pregnant too! Chicken was my enemy though. I got to the point where I seriously thought I would never eat it again. Just thinking about it made me gag. But fruit was my life-saver. Mmmm loved oranges!

  2. My mom was like that with chicken when she was pregnant with me. She never did feel the same about it afterwards... I hope this little one starts to take it easy on you soon! Smells always bother me when I am pregnant but the sick feelings were usually fading out by week 18.
