So at the beginning of December, I bought a guitar.
I think I've wanted a guitar since my brother got an electric one when I was ten or eleven. But lately I had been really kinda craving a guitar.
I grew up playing piano and even though I hated practicing when I was younger, now I miss playing. Whenever I'm around a piano, I have to play it. I just do. It's kinda obnoxious but I can't help it. A guitar became that perfect instrument to lug around with me wherever we moved to.
Ben told me back in April, that he really wanted to buy me a guitar for my birthday but I had to do all the "footwork" and find out what I wanted.
....Eight months later...
I finally figured it out and found the beauty for a deal at $300 on Kijiji.
I bought it during the final few weeks of Ben's hardest semester. I played that thing every night and gradually taught myself chords and simple songs. It became kinda addicting actually.
So for Valentine's Day, I thought it would be sweet and super cheesy to write Ben a song. I loved playing around with chords and coming up with melodies. And I thought you guys might want to hear a song I wrote. Not Ben's Valentine, but another.
Be gentle with me. I'm still not very good at guitar...and have never been very good at singing. This is just for "kicks and giggles."
