These two keep me busy. Which lately has been a good thing.
Ben has had some crazy weeks at school lately.
I can't imagine how my mother-in-law raised 8 children. EIGHT!
Sometimes I think to myself, "I'm waaaaay too young to be a mom. Let alone a mom to TWO babies."
I always laugh when people think I'm the Auntie to these two rug rats when we go out in public.

Living in Canada away from my parents and best friends has been a challenge.
My kids don't get to see their grandparents and cousins like they should.
Monkey talks about his cousins allllll the time. And he's maybe played with them a handful of times? The poor kid hasn't even met them all yet.
I envy those who have the problem of spending time with their crazy family and prying in-laws over the holidays.
When Ben is super busy with dental school, I wish I could just pack up my kids and stay over at my parent's house. (Something that every dental student's wife seems to do at least once)
I really miss living in the Appalachian mountains. (Ever seen Hunger Games? Well I'm from District 12) Prairie land is not for me. Or Canadian winters for that matter.
But Edmonton, Alberta, Canada is home. It feels like home.
And secretly, I enjoy shovelling snow with Monkey. It's a good work out and lots of fun
We've made friends and feel like we're supposed to be here for now.
But when those "home-sick" moments for my family hit, I'm so happy to have these two. They make my days hectic and frustrating at times, but they fill my life with complete happiness.
School has been absolutely rotten lately! I wish we would have gotten together for some playdates to pass this cruel time. According to some unnamed sources, the beginning of next year is the WORST time.
ReplyDeleteWhy have we not started a weekly dental 'support' group? Wow.. that sounded weird but I hope you know what I mean.
Well, I hope you guys have a wonderful holiday!! Your children are adorable. ADORABLE.
That is all.
I feel like their graduation is FOREVER away.
DeleteAnd a dental support group is a great idea! ;)
Happy Holidays to you and your sweet family!
How about I pack up my littles and come for a sleepover sometime in January?? I think it would be nice for all the cousins and their mamas!
ReplyDeleteHow did I miss this comment??? I think that would be an awesome idea!
