Ice = Snow

First Snowball
"Ice" is what Monkey calls snow. It's not correct, but cute nonetheless.

He loves "ice." Looooooooooves it.

He loves to stomp it, eat it, and recently Ben taught him how to throw it.

Needless to say, I get hit by a lot of snow clumps more often now than when I was a kid playing with my brother in the snow.

He shovels as much snow as he can in his hands, yells, "Mama! Hi!" and throws snow all over me. Silly Monkey.

We've been going on a lot of walks in the ravine since it's been so much warmer lately. A walk that would usually take 30 mins. becomes an hour long. That kid has to jump in all the snow-piles!

Last Sunday after church, Monkey cried because he wanted to play in the snow. Ben stayed and was helping Monkey to eat snow when I came back with the camera.

The next thing I know, Monkey is learning all about snowballs. How to shape, aim, and throw snow at people who aren't looking. (You can tell my husband came from a family with 6 boys) Monkey thought it was a splendid idea!

<---Monkey throwing his first snowball. Pure joy.

I'm just waiting for the day he throws a snowball at a stranger. That'll be interesting.

Pin It!
