Monkey's Ninja Turtle - Thoughts and Ramblings:
>I crocheted this ninja turtle in less than 24 hours based off of this picture I found <here>
>I couldn’t decide which ninja turtle to make so I asked Hubby. He simply replied, “All boys like Leonardo the best.” So Leonardo it was.
>While making Leonardo I couldn’t help but think back to being 4 or 5 and playing a ninja turtles’ game on the NES with my older brother in mom and dad’s bedroom during the summertime. The game let you have two players at once and my brother always chose to be Leonardo (I guess Hubby is right) and I loved Donatello. We would play that game for HOURS or until I hit my brother with Donatello’s staff too many times and resulted in the death of Leonardo. (Which always ended up in verbal abuse from my brother about my lack of NES skills or ninja skills…)
>No google images were used in the making of this turtle. Every time I wondered what Leonardo’s exact shell color was, location of belt, how thick his mask was, etc. I would ask Hubby to google a picture so I could see. Frustrated with my lack of ninja turtle knowledge, Hubby would answer my question for me. (Which also ended up in verbal abuse about my short comings…jk...no really ;))
>As soon as Monkey saw him completed he gave him a big hug and kiss. That made it all worth the effort.
>Monkey is curled up in bed right now asleep and snuggled up to Leonardo. I say a job well done.
Oh, and for your entertainment, a picture I found of a ninja turtle Hubby drew years ago. I actually have a whole folder filled full of nothing but ninja turtle drawings he did as a kid. Crazy hubs, how I love you.

Seriously, I'm impressed!... and sad that I missed out on those crochet lessons before I moved, dang! Nicely done, that's one lucky little boy!
