Weekend Adventure

This past weekend we went to Calgary to celebrate hubby’s brother’s birthday. It was AWESOME! Well, the three hour car ride with Monkey wasn’t awesome, but getting to see so much family was! I forgot how much I love to play with nieces and nephews. Oh, and Monkey was in hog heaven with so many Aunties to cuddle {Not to mention GRANDMA!}.

I got to see the mythical storage unit that holds all of my in-laws stuff before they moved to Kentucky. {I say “mythical” because whenever someone talks about something they used to have and wish they still did, it’s always mentioned how it’s stored in the storage unit – and after two ½ years of hearing this repeatedly, I finally got to see the HUGE unit} Hubby was able to go through some of it and get some old art, pictures, things from when he lived in France, blankets, cds, etc. Monkey even scored and got some IKEA kid’s plates, cups, and utensils. I get the pleasure of going through hubby’s old stuff and sorting it. Fun, fun. That’s sarcasm.

> Spend time with family

> Eat cherry cheesecake ice cream cake from DQ

> Get pictures of hubby from high school and before {I seriously had maybe twenty before now}

> Playing dominos for 2 ½ hrs with my 3 year old nephew {I only won twice}

> Sleeping in bed with Monkey and hubby. – Monkey karate chopped and kicked us in the face all night

> Getting up and ready for 9AM church to realize that we would have to go to 11AM church

> Getting home with a sleepy baby boy who had a poo explosion on the ride back
